Yokley and Roctanes Third in GNCC S.C.

Driving a Polaris RZR XP1000 with STI Roctane Tires, William Yokley scored his first podium of the season during the Camp Coker GNCC in Society Hill, SC. The event was the second UTV round of the season. Yokley started on the front row after a fifth place finish at the season opener, and he grabbed the holeshot and then finished third in the event. It was just his second race since returning to GNCC competition after a one-year hiatus.

“The STI Roctane tires pulled really well on the start,” said Yokley, “and they worked great the whole race. I couldn’t have asked for more. I really like the Roctanes, but we’re going to test the Chicane tires as well. I like the tread pattern on the Chicanes and I think it might give us even more of an edge. STI has proven tires, and I have a good relationship with them, which is a perfect fit for our program.”

The STI tires were perfect for the course, which featured varied terrain, high speed and even big air jumps. Yokley appreciated the fact that the STI tires worked perfectly, everywhere.

“The course had plenty of fast, wide-open sections, but also some rutted out woods sections and a motocross track,” said Yokley. “It had a little bit of mud and some technical sections. It had a little bit of everything and I enjoyed it.”

“I have a lot of confidence in the car and I think it will do great there,” said Yokley. “John Penton has a lot of fast roads and some rough stuff. I’m excited, I’m having fun with everything, and I have a good set of sponsors.”
