This year’s Best In The Desert Parker 250 race included four 60-mile loops outside Parker, Arizona. Nic Garvin, running STI Tech 2 PRO D tires, decided to tackle the race solo. Keeping a consistent pace and needing no tire changes, Garvin took the race lead on the final lap, thanks in part to quick pit stops. He held the lead to earn his first major Pro-class victory, completing the course in 4 hours and 31 minutes.
Garvin raced a Honda CRF450X sponsored by STI MX Tires and City Service Paving / Champion Adventures / Parts Unlimited. The Parker 250 is the first race in the Best In The Desert American Off-Road Racing Series. (Reporting from CycleNews.com)
